What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Saturday August 22, 2020, utility works will take place on Eglinton Avenue West, east of Edith Drive, to facilitate ongoing catch basin installations and connections. This work is part of the construction of the new Eglinton Connects Streetscape and Cycle Track, which will be implemented continuously from Avenue Road to Holly Street. For more information on the City of Toronto's Eglinton Connects Streetscape and Cycle Track Design, visit www.toronto.ca/eglinton.

To perform this work safely, crews will be required to temporarily occupy the westbound lane on Eglinton Avenue West, east of Edith Drive. Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced one lane only, alternating traffic in each direction, while this work takes place. Work will begin as early as 7:00 a.m. and take approximately six (6) hours to complete. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present during this work.
