What Work is Taking Place?

  • Mining excavation works continue at the secondary entrance of Avenue Station, with crews operating between Eastbourne Avenue and Lascelles Boulevard. As part of these works, crews are required to break away the temporary inner walls of the cavern, to finalize the station structure.

  • Inner wall demolition will resume as early as Wednesday, April 22, 2020 and will occur 24 hours a day for approximately one (1) week. Periodic chipping and removal of concrete can be expected, while this work takes place.

  • During these works, nearby properties may experience noise and/or vibration. Crews will endeavor to complete these works during the day, however due to the sequence nature of the work, occasional overnight work may be required. If you experience disruption from mining activities, please call our 24/7 phone line at 416-782-8118.
