What Work is Taking Place?


On April 13, 2020, crews will be loading and hauling excavated spoils from the Chaplin Station Main Entrance site until 2:00 a.m. the next morning.  Using an excavator and crane, excavated spoils will be loaded into dump trucks at surface level and hauled to an off-site location.  This work will take place overnight from 7:00 p.m. on Monday April 13 to 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday April 14, 2020.  A ventilation fan will be running for the duration of the work.
 

Hours of Work

  • Monday April 13, 2020 between 7:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

What to Expect

  • Overnight noise from construction as well as site lighting can be expected
  • A ventilation fan will operate at surface level for the duration of this work

 

Pedestrian & Traffic Details

  • The current traffic configuration and pedestrian routes at Chaplin Station are expected to remain in place for the duration this work

Travelling Smart during Construction


Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
