What Work is Taking Place?
Since March 16, 2020, crews have been performing chipping away concrete at the east limit of the Chaplin Station box. Chipping will continue through Tuesday March 31, 2020, while crews demolish a concrete pile wall between the Tertiary Entrance and station box, located on the south side of Eglinton Avenue adjacent the old fire hall. Using an excavator and jackhammer, concrete will be removed from grade level to beneath the station roof. This activity will take approximately 1.5 weeks to complete. Chipping occurs periodically during deep excavation sequence. Noise and vibration can be expected.
Hours of Work
- This activity will take place between 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. until approximately March 31, 2020
- Work may be longer or shorter than expected, and may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances
